The Disability Program Navigator is a demonstration project providing service to people with disabilities, including SSA beneficiaries. The Disability Program Navigator assists people with disabilities to prepare for, find, or retain employment by collaborating with Mesa County Workforce Center partners and other community service providers and agencies. The navigator helps SSA beneficiaries understand the effects of earnings on SSA and other program benefits, so the consumer can make informed decisions about working.

Services:

• Information and referral to other supports and services
• Teach self-advocacy
• Support with transportation, housing, child care issues, and health care options
• Assist with problem solving to diminish barriers to employment
• Available to employers with questions on workplace accommodations or ADA regulations
